Had a lovely meal and a very nice and helpful waitress, Shunashi. Had appetizers to light entree and dessert and all were favorable to my taste buds.
We were in town doing a quick New Years trip and decided to try this place out. We made reservations in advance as we were not sure how seating or the wait would be on a holiday week. We were seated in the lower dining area right in front of a window. The views are beautiful overlooking the ocean inlet and the restaurant seating is tiered so there isn't really a bad place to sit. We shared the chowder to start and then we each ordered an entree. We had the crab pasta and the cod piccata with risotto that was delicious. They were pretty busy but the server was attentive and our food came within a reasonable time after the starter. They had some live music upstairs in the bar area. Overall when we visit again we would definitely be back.
This place can be hit or miss. Half our table enjoyed their food and the other half thought it was okay. We liked the complimentary bread and butter. I got the creamy garlic chicken, which I enjoyed and the noyo burger was another favorite. The pesto pasta was okay, and felt heavy. The combo plate with fried food was good and a great amount, but it also felt heavy after eating a few bites. The clam chowder tasted watered down. The restaurant has a great view overlooking the ocean and beach and it can be formal or informal. Service was great. Friendly staff and I liked hearing the live performances. The guava drink was one of my favorites as well. I would come back here again.
FLAVOR (5/5): Got their combo fried platter which had scallops, shrimp and fish! Huge portions of the seafood here! INSTAGRAM WORTHY (5/5): The restaurant is right along the water, great for a sunset dinner because they have big windows for you to watch from your table! SERVICE (3/5): We came in half an hour before closing knowing what we wanted so we wouldn't stay too long and leave before closing. Our waitress kept forgetting our water but at least the food didn't take too long. TAKEAWAYS: Nice views, not too pricey compared to other spots in town. Great for a dinner date!
